Cupric oxide | CuO - PubChem
Copper(II) oxide is decomposed to copper(I) oxide and oxygen at 1030 deg C and atmospheric pressure; the reduction can proceed at lower temperature in a vacuum; hydrogen and carbon monoxide reduce copper(II) oxide to the metal at 250 deg C and to copper(I) oxide at about 150 deg C; ammonia gas reduces copper(II) oxide to copper metal and copper(I) oxide at 425-700 deg C.
